Key Largo, Florida

The Florida Keys are a chain of islands that stretch southward from Miami to Dry Tortugas. The coral and limestone formation provide for beautiful scenery, as well an interesting history with pirates on Monroe County’s coastlines in the 1800s who would take refuge there after raids against Spanish ships off Cuba or Haiti by privateers looking for gold coins lost overboard during storms at sea (that could later be used).
